POLICE are appealing for information in connection with a fatal house fire which happened on Westward Ho in Grimsby on the evening of Wednesday 30 October 2013.
Shortly before 1720hrs, two police officers were passing an address on Westward Ho when they came across a house which was on fire.
The officers made an immediate call to the Fire Service and made an attempt to gain entry to the address prior to the fire service arrival.
Officers closed the road at Bargate following the incident.
Nicola HEATON (53), was the sole occupant of the address at the time of the fire and was sadly found deceased inside.
Officers re opened the road at 2036hrs.
A joint investigation is currently underway, with Humberside Fire and Rescue, to establish the exact circumstances of the house fire.
Police have spoken to a number of potential witnesses to the incident and would now appeal for anyone else with information to call Humberside Police tel 101 quoting log 494 of 30 October 2013.
