Man 23 from Liverpool arrested in connection with assault in Grimsby

DETECTIVES investigating a serious assault on Macaulay Street, Grimsby have arrested a man.

On Wednesday 12 March police arrested a 23 year old man from Liverpool, at a house in Grimsby, in connection with a serious assault in which a 16 year old boy was left with serious injuries.

The 23 year old man was questioned by detectives and later released on bail to appear back at Grimsby Police Station in the middle of May.

The investigation into the incident which happened at around 0222hrs on 04 March on Macaulay Street, Grimsby are continuing.

The 16 year old boy, who is not from the Grimsby area, was taken to DPOW hospital with serious injuries. He was later transferred to HRI. He is now recovering from his injuries.
