POLICE are currently in attendance at an incident which has resulted in road closures being in place on Garibaldi Street and between Victor Street and Albion Street in Grimsby.
At 0717hrs this morning (Friday 14 March) police were called following a burglary at an address on Bramhall Street, Cleethorpes in which a silver coloured Fiat Punto was stolen.
Police located the stolen vehicle at around 1120hrs this morning as the vehicle was involved in a collision on Albion Street.
A number of occupants made off from the vehicle and a female passenger was trapped inside. The female is currently being airlifted to HRI. Her injuries are believed to be serious but not life threatening.
Two people have been arrested in connection with the incident and officers are now conducting enquiries to try and locate the people who made off from the vehicle.
Road closures will be in place for some time and people are asked to avoid the area at this time.
