Michael George LEE, who will now be aged 78, lived in the Bargate area of Grimsby and was reported missing to police by his family on Wednesday 16 March 2011, after he had not made contact or been seen by his friends or family since Sunday 06 March.
The disappearance of Mr LEE is is something that has shocked all that knew him. All who have spoken to police have said that him disappearing from the area and leaving everything behind is totally out of character and, has left them with unanswered questions.
Despite it being three years since the last sighting of Michael LEE, the police have no new clues or leads that could help trace him. All police know is that he took his blue coloured Mercedes C220 (REG number KO04 HTP) and potentially left Grimsby. The vehicle has not been seen and there have not been any sightings of him.
John Lee, the brother of Michael Lee continues to hope that one day Micheal will be in touch, he said: "It has now been three years since a member of our family, or one of Michaels friends saw him or spoke to him. Not a day goes by that we dont all think of him and hope that when that phone rings, or the door opens, it will be him.
"The family are all in complete limbo, this really is out of character for Michael and we don’t know why he would want to leave his life in Grimsby with all his friends and family. We would like some answers so please anyone who may have seen Michael and think they know where he is call the police. No matter how big or small that information might be then please come forward.
"If Michael is reading this, then I would say to him please get in touch and let us know that you are safe. Everyone misses you and we would love to have you back home with us all. Each day I think about you wondering where you are and what you might be doing. Please come home and put our worried minds at rest."
Despite no new sightings or information the disappearance of Michael LEE is still an on going police investigation and any small piece of information is vital to helping locate him.
